Our Perspective

Olympus Perspective Playground - Kraftwerk, Berlin

How often do you get to go to a free, interactive exhibition in an amazing industrial space and given a camera to freely take all the photographs you desire?  In Berlin you get this opportunity once a year at the Olympus Perspective Playground

It's a simple concept - as you enter you’re given an Olympus OM-D or PEN camera (you get to keep the SD card at the end) and encouraged to photograph the interactive works of art inside the space. With this yearly exhibition, Olympus is aiming to make photography an experience, challenging peoples perspective of reality and future vision.

Social media has also shown that not only do people love taking photos, but some love their photo taken just as much. Some of the interactive works were also the perfect backdrop for striking a pose. Madonna would've loved it. ;)

As designers we were almost in more awe of the space that hosted the event, Kraftwerk - a former power plant in the centre of Berlin. Now used as an event space, it's the perfect backdrop for this exhibition. One of the many things we love about this city is its plethora of amazing repurposed venues. From old bunkers - Funkhaus to Berghain, the city provides and abundance of alluring backdrops.
